Feb. 10th - ACA’s science fair winners announcement

March (ACA winners will advance to state)
Types of Competition:
-
Individual (grades K-12).
-
Small group (2 or 3 students any grade). (Each student is involved in all phases, versus divide and conquer.)
-
Whole class (4 or more students any grade). Each member of the group or class should be part of the entire process, and keep their own lab book/journal with notes about the process and data.
To enter, follow these steps:

Find a project. Watch this video for help. Conduct a science experiment or create an engineering project. Use this website to help you come up with your own project: Science Buddies.

Make sure you follow the scientific method or engineering process.

Go to this website to check if your project will require filling out any forms: Rules Wizard

If you discover from step 3 that you need to fill out a form where you need permission before conducting your experiment, make sure you complete the form and email it to Ms. Harrison or your science teacher.

Junior Division Requirements (K-8th grade)
​
-Project slides in a PDF of no more than 12 slides.
-Lab notebook excerpt; no more than 4 pages.

Optional:
-Quad Chart
-Project video (2 minute max)
-Demonstration video (1 minute max)

Senior Division Requirements (9-12th grade)
​
-Forms based on the Rules Wizard above.
-Project slides in a PDF of no more than 12 slides.
